In Japan they don't even let you into the monastery. You can't go up elephant back or not until you do Tungario in the Zen monastery. In fact fear is the membrane between what you know and something new. When you get afraid it's like one of those little lights on the dashboard linking and saying about to grow, about to like it or not about to grow. Your life grows through your generosity. It grows through your capacity to let go and move on. As Rilka says, ultimately it's upon our vulnerability that we depend. We're vulnerable to one another and therefore we're connected to one another.
