Is the Particular Really Born in the English Channel?
Aristotle is the first figure of universality and then that gets all through the tradition even the scholastic medieval tradition in Europe. But for a while it was empiricism in Britain and dialectics and even the thinkers that weren't dialectical like Descartes and Spinoza, they still were focused on universality. So that's where the particular really gets, gets born in it so the idea is that we start with, we start with individual things,. Like that's particularism or epistemic philosophy.
