Winston Churchill and the Admiralty
During this time at the Admiralty, Churchill would become involved in all kinds of discussions and decisions. He would play a role in a sweeping set of reforms for the living conditions aboard ships and the treatment of sailors on the lord decks. Many of these innovations would go on to be standard features of battleships until they stopped being produced during the Second World War. The Queen Elizabeth class brought back six-inch secondary armament and featured anti-aircraft guns.
