Short Fiction vs Horror Fiction

Short stories tend to gravitate more towards some semblanc of a happy ending, but they're harder to pull off at the end of a really long narrative. I think another thing that youyou certainly see in short fiction is that sometimes short fiction exists in a space where it doesn't have to concern itself with the ins and outs of a complex plot. It can be more about trotting out an interesting idea, or ou kno or, or, in the case of horror, just just a fun monster or somen diabolical scenario, that sort of thing.
