I like to keep that karmic wheel somewhat clean. I tend to err on the side of caution, not necessarily out of a sense of karma or the sort of wicked threefold law or anything like that. But I just find for me that malefic magic kind of invites a little too much chaos into my life. By the time that the cunning folk are working this form of divination, it's usually to identify thieves and things like that. When the sieve turns on someone's name is when you have the culprit.
