The Argument for Marriage Under the Special Marriage Act in India
Petitioners are arguing for marriage under the special marriage act which is used when couples do not want to or cannot use religious laws. Special marriage act basically says that in India when you live under the constitution you are the right to marry the person of your choice. Would this impinge upon the religious laws of marriage? Again this is a question which has come up many many times.
