The Greatest Decline in Poverty in the United States
The greatest declines are occurring during the time of de segregation. Scrimination is now over. The question is, how did we thrive in the presence right of segregation? I grew up in 19 37 as going to mill e depression. I never heard a gun ired in my life. From the time i was there through high school. A 98 % of all the households had a man and a woman raising children. And all of this came to a halt in the sixties, war and poverty. That's when we saw a dramatic change in in the composition of families. Also, income made a reduction in poverty.
