How to Treat Sarcoidosis

The medicines we have to use all suppress your immune system in one form or another. The first line of therapy is prednisone and we use that quite frequently. I tell them that typically we don't need large doses to be effective. Oftentimes we can start with something around 20 milligrams of prednisone  and that can help patients shortness of breath.
