The Marine Pilots Hate the Movies
Marine pilots just hated this show but it was a big hit. The portrayals of the recognizable people were all very inaccurate and if you've actually been involved in something and somebody makes a movie out of it you're gonna nitpick everything. If you didn't know anything about uh the details and nuances of marine fighter operations in the south pacific you would have you would find it a compelling story.
