What's the Difference Between Celibacy and Married Priesthood?
We're getting a lot of questions in the chat and then we'll go to our local supporters about Eastern priests being married. You've probably never been asked that before. Never, actually never. So people have to distinguish between discipline and doctrine. The issue of celibacy and married priesthood is not an issue of doctrine. It's an issue of discipline. Disciplines can come and go. Doctrine's, despite what the German bishops may tell us, doctrines cannot change. This is an issue ofcipline. And we see that this discipline has been consistently used, practiced in the East from the very beginning.
