The CIA's operations in China were totally wiped out by Chinese counterins... Pretty close to totally. And it's taken a long time for the CIA to get back on its feet. The first thought obviously was we have a mole. That's the only way they could know all these details. So and the mole must be somebody who is so well placed that he knows all these different compartmented operations. It was a story really of counterintelligence in the old fashioned, I want to say James Angleton style in the US.
