Adolescents Are More Interested in Social Status Than Adults Are Involved
Adolescents are very motivated by their social standing and to know about their social standing. They are very interested in status and knowing their place in the pecking order. Even when they predict that that guy isn't going to like me, they still want the information. So a different way to think about adolescent decision making is that they're just weighing information about their choices differently.
