What Happened to Lambda?

The pace of technological improvement is actually faster than what's represented in the news. Lambda engages in all kinds of behaviors that publicly available technologies would not to the point where it can pass the tearing test fairly clearly. And my opinion is that the public should have a voice in what kinds of human like technology gets developed.
