The Greeks would use the word Storgay for that, you know. And there's Philia, the appreciation. It's a little higher level where there is a valuing of the quality and beauty and truth. Then there's Eros, which again is the great confusing; it specifically means physically embodied love. So it's considered the most dangerous and the most powerful because it has such power over us.
