In provinces where conscience rights protections exist, doctors generally have to refer those patients. But if you remove that piece of the law, "you're in real trouble," she says. In places like new brunswick there is no access to abortion services at least i most of the provinceor referring someone to the doctor down the street might not do much good because they still can't provide the service you need.
