Ticnahan has five mindfulness trainings. The fourth mindfulness training is right speech, which we have just been talking about. The other four minfules trainings are he mentions here in the next chapter when he talks about right action. So what does it mean to understand the other person? It doesn't mean, i think that you know everything about the other person. And with that spirit, you understand like that. That's the spirit of avalokitesvara,. who hears the cry of the world in response with words or actions, hearing those cries. We're practising toward being one who can listen to the cries of the world respond in that way.
