We're in a Third Moment of the Internet

The first moment of the inner net was one in which what happened with technology was really entirely in the hands of these brilliant and inventive coters. Then we entered a second moment where the hackers were instrumentalized by the financiers, right? And ultimately you got the emergence of big companies that took these inventive ideas and scaled them to billions of people. The consequence of the back lash is that we're now entering a third moment,. We've lost our faith in the guidance of the technologists or the companies on their own. So it's going to be a push and pull, a give and take as we figure out what it means for democracy to govern technology.
