Is Humour Really Important?
I think some people have lost their sense of humour about these things. Terry is absolutely entitled to say what he wants and support who he wants. His employers are perfectly entitled then to react how they want. But I think that it was quite extraordinary that the Old Vic lost the chance to see his work. You don't want it to be homogenous, a lot to be tasteful. With humour particularly, it is very very important not to have barriers. Do you know what's hilarious about this conversation? Your last trip was to Iraq. My last trip was in Bath. Oh well, just open your mind and lie back and enjoy it. A wonderful place.
