Chapter: Unnamed Star-Crossed Lovers

In this chapter, the soldier and a keb decide to sneak out of the menagerie to consummate their relationship, but before they do, they realize they don't know each other's names. The chapter then shifts to the 11th day, marking the start of the long reigns and the rainy season, and concludes with a scene where a keb watches the dilution ships sail away with his family, introducing the presence of gods who are beyond human.
