A large study of gal patients and the effects of urate lowering therapies looked at 28,000 patients. The mortality was significantly lower in people who walked greater than 8,000 steps a day for one or two days. An analysis of marathon runners looked at over 3,800 marathon runners who ran the 2019 in the 2021 Chicago Marathon.
