The Role of the Dorsolateral Prefrontal Cortex in Decision-Making

The Dorsolateral Prefrontal Cortex is a particularly interesting area of the brain. It's involved in what we call executive functions, things like self-control and pulse control. And there's another area called the Ventra Medial PreFrontal Cortex which is associated more with emotional integration. When people saw that their community didn't agree with them on certain values, they were less willing to fight and die.
