The Importance of Learning
The word learning kind of like responsibility has a lot of baggage, particularly because everyone's gone to school and thinks of learning as sitting in a chair with someone up front. So many kids today are really fed up and not even going to school because they feel it's a waste of time. The problem is that the concept got co-opted and our experience distorted by the school role model of learning. Learning is very fundamental. It has nothing to do with school and it really is innate to humans.
