If you don't understand that she needs to maintain that low pc o two for the fetus, then what will happen is you'll artificially raise moms pc o two. You will be then driving c o two into the baby. The baby will become acedotic and will show up on the monitor. And now we're doing an ergency delivery for an acedotic baby in a mom who's already critically ill.
