Procrastination is a way of salvaging a day. It's avoiding a higher priority, more time ensitive task by doing something else that is productive and maybe you had already procrastinated on. But it actually is self defeating because it's getting in the way of the higher priority task. The pprocrastination continuum rate like ego, ok, i'm not going to work on taxes this week, and at least let me take care of these other things. So better than nothing.
