The Farce of Patriotism

Bewalda Goldman was released from Alcatraz on New Year's Eve 1908. After his release, he continued to speak out against capitalism and the government. He met Emma Goldman again when she came to Grand Rapids for a speaking tour. Walda raised funds for him so that he could stay in Michigan with his widowed mother. The two men were both arrested after their speeches but later cleared of any wrongdoing.
