The Basic Building Blocks of the Brain

A lot of computational neuroscience is focused on neuron level and above. We can use the same equations that engineers use to describe electrical circuits using things like capacitance and resistance. And so that you get when you start to have populations of neurons, they can do more interesting things like that. There's a chapter in the book about memory and how populations of neurons,. if they're connected the right way, can't recall a memory. So I think I think starting at the neuron level is a good place to start.
