Plato thought that the true world was available to the virtuous living. Once it transitions to christianity, it becomes a thing only available to the dead. And then as a sort of vague philosophical concept, he is come to announce it has lost all its vitality and use. We have woken up after this positivism and the re focusing on the immediate world rather than the mere concept of a true world. Now it's sunny and bright.
