How to Talk to Your Employer About Maternity Leave
Not every employer in the country is as accommodating of parental leave as others. What I would say to any managers who are also parents is that this is absolutely possible. We don't employ robots, we employ human beings and they have full lives outside of work. Be confident in your conversations that what you are doing is something that is completely legitimate. If you are someone who these conversations are not going well, unfortunately you are not alone. That is you coming up against a system that we are still evolving to fit the reality of families.
