In the first book of Plato's Republic Socrates is having a conversation with a Sophist named Thrasymachus. The story that's been picked up by others, for example, Tolkien and the Lord of the Rings. So the challenge is a story about a man named Gaijis who lives in Anatolia. He uses his ill-gotten gain from the kingdom to give all sorts of nice sacrifices to the gods.
