The U.S. Government Refuses to Release Information About the Saudi Ties to 9-11
Last year, it became public that a Saudi embassy official helped some of the hijackers settle into the U.S. in 2001. Both had also allegedly trained at al-Qaeda camps alongside the 9-11 hijackers and had contact with them while in the United States. One of the men on the Phoenix flight reportedly even tried to re-enter the country in the summer of 2001 but was turned away. The FBI declined to press charges at the time.
