The Importance of Being Aware
In 1 Thessalonians 5 verses 4 through 6, the Apostle Paul says this: You brethren are not in darkness that today would overtake you like a thief. So then Paul says, let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober. Now, the Greek verb alert there means to be awake, to be watchful. That is a present, perfect tense there to be, which means we are always to be awake. And this idea of evangelical deconstructionism is just one of those worldly philosophies that is coming against the church.
