China's Biggest Banks Are Said to Be Cutting Dollar Deposit Rates
China's biggest banks are said to be cutting dollar deposit rates. Sources say some of the lenders' provincial branches now offer around 5.7%. That sound from 6% previously. The move comes at a time when strong demand for the US currency has helped push the yuan to a six-month low.
