Al-Rzali's Life Story

Al-Rzali's attitude towards philosophy was an ambivalent one. He made careful study and careful use of philosophy in his writings, but he also criticized its pretensions. His various intellectual allegiances were disdainfully described by Averaues. Each of his works seem to show the reader only one part of a larger picture.
