Is There a Gender Neutral Translation of the Bible?
There are four different versions of this same story. So it doesn't matter which translation you use at the at the root, even in the original text. In Greek, the male plural of a certain verb actually was meant to refer to both male and female. There's potentially this story of this woman being kind of written out over time. And that's not going to go away with a different English translation of the Bible.
