The Dummy of a Picture Book

Most picture books are 32 pages. Some played a 40 because I'm an epic fantasy writer. Being able to look at the dummy of a book is incredibly important. So it was, I subscribed to the Jim Henson model of success, which is that you hire someone who is better than you and let them do their job. And she had this idea that these buttons would float all the way through and then be incorporated into the final image. That for me is like a prime example of the visual language that she could bring to it.
