AI and the Future of Learning

The place where I think AI will actually have an impact, if we do it right, is on building models of individual learners based on the way that they interact with and interact with the systems. Like we know, for example, that you can intervene with students in their first semester or two and significantly raise the chances that they will remain in school. And there's all kinds of things you can do in the very simple intervention to change the trajectory of their academic career. So imagine doing that at the individual level and doing it the level of understanding and learning and automating that and making it work at scale.
