This essay did not come together in a single click of the button, so to speak. It started out as one thing and it became another. But generally speaking, the idea of quantitative aesthetics seems to tie together a bunch of different things I see in the art world or broader conversation. Quantitative aesthetics would be a term I'd use to describe all of that as a kind of tendency within culture.
