Hubbard's Debacle

LZ Granderson: Hubbard used Dianetics logic to justify why Barbara Kay couldn't recall everything. He said that when he'd called her up and asked her to come out now, the word now had frozen her in present time and temporarily interrupted her perfect memory. LZ: The whole event was a debacle but it hardly put a dent in the progress of Dianetics. "It teaches Hubbard a powerful lesson which is never ever put yourself into position where people can prove you're wrong," she says.
