The Colombian Government's Intervention in the Santa Marta Massacre

In 1928, the Colombian government intervened in a workers' dispute. They bought in the army to massacre strikers for US company United Fruit Company. A lawyer and aspiring liberal politician Jorge Elieffaire Gay-Pann campaigned for justice after they were killed. He would go on to become a more left-wing leader of the popularity that he gained campaigning for justice for the strikers.
