The Disturbation of the Roman World in the European Frontiers

There are two periods of disturbance on the fringes of the Roman world in its European frontiers. The Ark of the Carpathians is in many ways the outer boundary of Roman power in central and Eastern Europe. But there's a very distinct spread of wheelbarque cultural patterns south and eastwards towards the Ark of thecarpathians during that era. And we get sea-borne gothic raids across the Black Sea between what's now Ukraine and northern Turkey, sometimes even breaking out into the eastern Mediterranean.
