There's something about this embrace of abstraction when an age of reason comes about. People get drunk on it, they become convinced the doors are wide open and everything has changed. But then you run into one disaster after another caused by too much focus on abstractions. And so finally, until you end up with a collapse of reason,. where it becomes impossible to prove anything, impossible to know anything., because you're mired in this endless wilderness of abstractions.
