If a company extracted all those diamonds and then attempted to sell them, the price of diamonds would fall to fractions of a penny per carat. Instantly diamonds would become so cheap we'd be using them as aggregating concrete and in place of glass beads in our fish tanks. The moral of the story is be impressed with the quantity of diamonds in the earth but don't confuse their values on paper with the values they'd actually fetch in the market.
