The Changes in Kiev Since the War
In summertime the city very much comes into its own and it's very beautiful. But for me having lived there in the 90s I have to deal with these two sets of change. The changes between the 1990s and the pre-war Kiv and the changes that have been brought about by war. It is remarkable how before the war it had been smartened up and many new amenities introduced. Some old intermediaries, old amenities taken away like the trams that used to run between the city centre of how sadly disappeared.
