I Woke Up in a Dream, a Hammer on My Bed
"I got down off the porch and did what I still think was the most logical thing in the moment," she says. "Even though it was utterly black under there, it was roomy and dry, and no one could see me." The rain sounded soothing, comforting; Fatigue swallowed her whole after three minutes of sleep.
