What Is Democracy?
Democracy is defined by having elections, but election means choosing. So o choose a representative, you think that the person you choose is better than the one you don't vote for. That's a kind of aristocratic act. You're thinking that some people are better than other people when you elect someone. And so or our democracy then, has an element of aristocracy in it. It's strange to call these people elite, as trump does and other others do, when they've actually been elected by people. Who is more democratic, the person wanteng the election, or those who never even tried to get elected?
