The Media Business Is Not That Healthy Right Now

The New York Times is constantly accused of being elitist. If they keep their starting salaries low, if they keep their pay relatively low, then the people that can afford to work there are going to be people with wealth and family money. A lower paying place will become more elite, ironically and weirdly. It's good to unionize but business constraints are such that the power and leverage those unions have is really emitted.
