The trusted setups have different characteristics than the NPC that we just described. For example, you need to actually have an honest majority. Whereas if you look at trusted setups and ZK Snarks, those are NPCs. They're a form of an NPC, but in those multi-party computations, the majority of actors could be malicious,. If one honest participant contributes their secret value correctly, then the outcome is still correct.
