Grief Tending - A Simple Practice

Grief tending became inseparable from that to honour the ancestors, we must grieve well. And our culture doesn't really have those spaces. Even funerals are very subdued. So through working more with it, ritually, in ceremony, ive found that working with the element of water is really helpful. Everyone, when they come to grief, picks up a stone. But t water, in its essence, ovislyis is showing us how to grieve. It knows how to release, to cleanse, to surrender, to yield and d you know, it can be the quietest lake or a raging ocean.
