The Importance of Music in My Dad's Life
I would be in my bedroom sleeping or going to sleep and I would hear my dad playing the piano in the living room so the feelings that came up in me from hearing him play are definitely some of the earliest memories I have of music affecting me. My dad's main interest was classical music but he liked some rock and so that was another thing that I think had a long-term effect on me. He had friends when he was at Juilliard who turned him on to like yes and Emerson Lake and Palmer and you know Led Zeppelin and other progressive rock things turns all that around.
