The poem is called "Contemplation at McCoy Creek" It deals with subjectifying the universe and reaching outward. The author says he was looking for a word that meant to be in 'the sacred place, the temple' He writes: Self is lost, a sacrifice to praise, and praise itself sinks into quietness.
